QUEZON CITY – – Several different major Muslim organizations have joined hands to endorse their chosen candidates for Senator in the May 12 midterm elections.
1 Bangsamoro Movement president Alan Balangi declared their endorsement and expressed support to 10 senatorial candidates, namely Subair Mustapha, Amirah Lidasan, Bong Go, Bato dela Rosa, Camille Villar, Rodante Marcoleta, Pia Cayetano, Gringo Honasan, Vic Rodriguez and Bam Aquino.
According to Balangi, they selected the 10 senatorial aspirants brought about by their advocacy for peace and order, priority for the welfare of Muslims, with particular concern for Mindanao.
They said that theiir Muslim leaders also conducted a series of dialogues to determine their opinions and views
on who are deserving to be elected as senators in the upcoming elections.
Aside from this, the group is also supporting the Apat Dapat Partylist who is ready to help and raise the welfare of every Muslim.
Present during the press conference in Kamuning Bakery Cafe were Muslim leaders Alim/Sultan Saad Amate, president ng United Imam of the Phils.; Sultan Amoden Abdulmadid, secretary General of Confederation of Royal Sultane of Lanao; Sultan Olo Racman, president of United Muslim Leaders (UML); Amro Rasul, chairman of Bangsamoro Communities Outside BARMM; Imam Nasser Mimbala, secretary general of Federation of BCOBAR and Datu Nabil Bayahbao, president of Bangsamoro Traders Association (BTA).
The Muslim groups are confident that their ranks is solid and united to bring to victory the 10 senatorial candidates they have endorsed which they see as deserving to be Senator and one for partylist in the May 12 elections. ###
