MANDALUYONG CITY — Some 5,000  residents here benefitted from free physical and medical examination,  consultation, medicine, and primary laboratory test under the “Lab For All: Laboratoryo, Konsulta at Gamot Para sa Lahat” of the National Government. 

The PRIDE edition of the program was led by First Lady Liza Marcos, some Cabinet members, Mayor Ben Abalos, and Vice Mayor Menchie Abalos held at the Mandaluyong College of Science and Technology (MCST) on Monday (June 24).

Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Emmanuel Ledesma, Pag-lBIG Fund CEO Marilene Acosta, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Director General Samuel Zacate, Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) Chief Persida Rueda-Acosta, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Secretary Suharto Mangudadatu, Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rexlon Gatchalian, Mandaluyong City Rep. Boyet Gonzales, Bataan (1st District) Rep. Geraldine Roman, and LGBT Pilipinas President Dindi Tan also joined in the program.

Mayor Ben Abalos and Vice Mayor Menchie Abalos thanked the First Lady in bringing in to the city the Lab For All program PRIDE edition as an additional medical service to the public.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. and the First Lady launched the Lab For All program in May this year as a community-based healthcare project pursuant to Republic Act No. 11223, otherwise known as the “Universal Health Care Act”.

This is being undertaken through medical missions and outreach program in communities nationwide.
