PASIG CITY — Engr. Selwin Lao, owner and president of Wing-An Construction and Development Corp., on Saturday (May 3) revealed that in front of Mayor Vico Sotto he can prove the anomaly in the PhP9.2-billion new Pasig city hall building. In a press conference, Engr. Lao said “Mayor (Vico Sotto), just give me a computer and I can make the computation in six hours to prove that there was an anomaly in the PhP9.2-billion new Pasig City Hall Building.”
Engr. Lao is a structural engineer for the past 40 years.
“Mayor, if I have proven that there was an anomaly in the PhP9.2-billion new Pasig City Hall Building, you should resign,” Engr. Lao challenged Mayor Sotto.
“If I cannot prove the anomaly, I am ready to be detained,” he added.
According to Engr. Lao, the concerned structural engineer has recommended “retrofitting” and not “demolition” for the old Pasig City Hall Building.
Engr. Lao was the contractor of the “Retention Wall” in the Rainforest Park in Pasig City.
The new P9.2-billion Pasig City Hall building complex is expected to be completed in a period of six years. ###
