PASIG CITY — The Bloom & Brew Garden and Lifestyle Fair opened on Friday (Aug. 8) at the Capitol Commons Park across Estancia Mall her
April, one of the exhibitors, started as a hobbyist and has now become an exporter of Bonsai.
A workshop on Kokedama was conducted, which originated from Japan, which can be hanging upward or downward or on the pot. It is an art of planting or Bonsai making.
Kokedama comes from Japanese words Koke which means moss and Dama which means ball.
It can be placed in snow. It can be sold as low as P100 and depending on the size and kind of plant to be used.
It’s a good giveaway for Christmas Day or Valentines Day as a gift to a friend, loved one, or relatives.
Bianca Lagmay, of Ortigas Land, said that the Bloom & Brew Garden & Lifestyle Fair will run from Aug. 8-10 (Friday-Sunday) from 10am-10pm rain or shine.
Lagmay noted that the price of plants increased during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The pandemic hit the Philippines from March 15, 2020 until December 2022.
She said that not everyone has “green finger” when it comes to plants, but it can be learned as time goes by.
Lagmay added that there are various kinds of plants that are present in Horticulture Philippines, the price of which can be as high as P150,000.
She urged families and children to come and enjoy the second run of the Bloom & Brew Garden and Lifestyle Fair. ###
