QUEZON CITY — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is set to review the status of 3,972 public utility vehicles (PUVs) operating along Commonwealth Avenue, following an order from Acting Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Giovanni Lopez.
Franchise holders that are found inactive or not operating will be required to explain through show-cause orders.
LTFRB Chairperson Atty. Teofilo Guadiz III on Thursday (Sept. 25) assured the public that the agency is focused on safeguarding commuters’ welfare by making sure franchises are properly utilized.
