PULILAN, Bulacan — In time for the celebration of Elderly Filipino Week, SM Cinema seals a partnership with the local government of Pulilan through a Memorandum of Agreement signing ceremony on October 6, granting senior citizens in the town a chance to avail of free movie screenings starting October 13.
The “Libreng Sine” program at SM Cinema Pulilan offers free admission to senior citizens on first screenings, once a month, every Monday, except if the said day falls on a local or national holiday, and during film festivals.

The partnership signals a meaningful collaboration between SM Cinema and the local government of Pulilan, providing worthwhile leisure options for an estimated 12,000 senior citizens in the town.
The Pulilan Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs Head, Cecilia Santos, expressed gratitude for the fulfillment of the program, citing the benefits it would provide to the elderly.

“This program is a great opportunity for us seniors, giving us an additional avenue to enjoy and relax while watching movies for free. Additionally, this activity would enhance our well-being through socialization,” she said.
“Today’s event is very timely as we are celebrating the Elderly Filipino Week,” shares Pulilan Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Joliza Tayao. “This collaboration signifies a meaningful partnership between the government and the private sector, giving utmost importance to the senior citizens. We hope that this program will bring them joy,” she added.
SM Supermalls Regional Operations Head-Assistant Vice President for North 6 and 7 Mall Operations Ana Datu underscores SM’s adherence to community support through the said program. “This initiative is truly a milestone and our way of showing our appreciation and giving back to our elders. We hope that our seniors will enjoy their free cinema day every Monday here at SM Center Pulilan,” she said.
The free movie screenings for senior citizens program at SM Cinema Pulilan will be implemented on a first-come-first-serve basis. Moreover, senior citizens are entitled to regular movie tickets only, while special screenings and exclusive movies are not included.
