The 7th Infantry Kaugnay Division of Philippine Army organized a bloodletting activity last September 11 at SM City Marilao.

With a theme “Dugong Alay ng Kaugnay, Dugtong ng Inyong Buhay”, the bloodletting activity aims to increase supply and find donors who could donate blood for needy soldiers.

“This activity is in partnership with Philippine General Hospital and Dugong Alay, Dugtong Buhay Incorporated” shares Civil Military Operations Officer Romel Jordan. “We wanted to ensure availability of blood for our soldiers” Jordan added.

Donors at the mall gave 66 units of blood to the 7th Infantry Kaugnay Division of Philippine Army.

SM City Marilao also conducted its second roll of blood donation drive in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH), Philippine Blood Center (PBC) and SM Foundation Incorporated.

DOH-PBC Blood donor recruitment officer Jerick Laxamana says that a total of 77 units of blood were collected from successful donors in SM City Marilao last September 7 and 8, 2022.

“We are thankful to SM as well as the support of its employees, tenants, and affiliates” shares DOH-PBC Blood donor recruitment officer Jerick Laxamana. “Our continuous blood donation awareness activities in the mall also evoked overwhelming response from common public especially to young people” says Laxamana.
