QUEZON CITY — Businessman and former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson on Tuesday (Oct. 14) said that everybody should have only one word noting that the people are now confused.
“Right now we can hardly develop if this is the way the government runs such that they are diverting the issue,” Singson said.
“Many are saying that this (ghost flood control project) is the biggest scam that ever happened in the country,” he added.
“For the people to believe President Marcos, he should prioritize his province. If he is clean, let’s help him even,” Singson said.
“Prioritize his province. We are just close provinces. We are transparent in Ilocos Sur,” he added.
“I say to ICI, prioritize Ilocos Norte. In the Senate, they covered it up and when Ilocos Norte surfaced, they stopped the investigation,” Singson said.
“It means that there are many issues to be tackled but it was diverted from the true issue,” he added.
“Why should we go to another project – from flood control to farm to market road,” Singson said.
“The Filipinos can easily forget. In the Guinness Book of Records, their father was dubbed as the worst President,” he added.
Chavit Singson was the only one who said that nobody will defeat Inday Sara in the Presidency.
“I was then all the day – money everything. 5,500 municipalities, almost all of them talked about their own problems,” Singson said.
He has been waiting for the longest time until he became “Antay Marcos”.
“We seem to be fooled. How did Sara Discaya was able to amass P31 billion in flood control projects. And now I’m the one being accused of corruption,” Singson said.
“How the Discayas were able to penetrate Ilocos Norte with 38 projects. Show their projects there. What happened is that ‘diversionary tactics’. No more of flood control projects,” he added.
On the Sept. 21 rally, Singson said, nothing will happen with the rallies because they have their own agenda.
“Let’s cross partylines. No Duterte. No Yellow. No political colors,” Singson said.
He stressed “Filipinos should unite, especially the youth such that whenever will be the rally, it should only be one, but the youth should decide, and I’m sure that many will support you.”
Singson said that the Sept. 21 was in disorder because they were to each his own. He distributed food in the Corinthinan side of EDSA during the rally and everything was fine but when afternoon came, people who were masked even confessed that they were paid by Martin Romualdez to join the rally.
Singson reminded the AFP and the PNP of their mandate to protect the people and the State. He cited Section 3, Article 2 of the Philippine Constitution which provides “Civilian authority is supreme over the military at all times.”
He said that the AFP and the PNP is not the protector of the President and the State, but they are the protector of the Filipino people.
Singson believes that many will support the AFP and the PNP if they perform their constitutional duty.
He cited the group who mentioned about Marcos’SARO P205 million in PDAF were channeled to fake organizations, which nothing happened to it.
Singson recalled a Marine who spoke out against the administration, but he was the one who was prosecuted.
“Whatever I say, it’s hard to advise a ‘bangag’,” he said. Singson cited the report of the US that 12 hours after the alleged commission of a crime, they cleaned up the crime scene, but cocaine was still spread out,” Singson said.
Singson was allegedly branded as a jueteng lord, but he said never once that he was involved in jueteng.
He scored the “attack dogs” who bark everytime they smell money.
On revolutionary government, Singson said that it was like what they did during the time of President Cory Aquino such that “our laws are good, but lack the full implementation.”
He cited the fate of witnesses who were even killed and silenced.
Singson stressed “if the Filipino people real change, it should be Revolutionary Government. The Acting President will be from the Supreme Court, who will call for the presidential elections in 90 days.”
“The only way and the best way is Revolutionary Government. Let the Supreme Court decide who will be the President and let the people decide,” Singson said.
He added that there are much money in flood control fund.
On making former House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez as state witness, Singson said that they are fooling the nation because he is the principal in the alleged anomalous flood control projects.
“If Martial Law is declared, they will fall. It’s like when Marcos, Sr. declared Martial Law, he was ousted from power. The Filipino people do not want Martial Law,” Singson said.
Singson could not even understand why Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson resigned as the Chairperson of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.
“Knowing Lacson, I was really very happy when he won as Senator. I know he is independent minded,” Singson said.
On the new Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla, Singson said that before he was appointed Remulla said that he will prioritize former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
Singson added that Marcos appointed Remulla as Ombudsman so that he will not be touched when he bowed out of office in 2028 or for the next 7 years.
On the resignation from the ICC of Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Singson said that the good mayor knew that nothing will happen to the ICC investigation into the alleged anomalous flood control project worth billions of pesos.
“I support the farmers. I welcome criticisms. Nobody is perfect so there is freedom in Ilocos Sur. There is also an attack dog there. We identified it. But the most important is that our farmers have free tractors. We support them. From one of the poorest provinces. We have 8 hospitals. All the patients enjoy free coverage such as dialysis. 6 portable hospitals, 6 portable kitchens, which we sent to different parts of the country,” Singson said.
“We help not only Ilocos Sur, but the whole country. Our doctors were even asking for vacation as they are already tired in helping the country,” he added.
“If we will not replace our officials, there will be no more change for the country,” Singson said.###
