TAYTAY, Rizal — Former Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis “Chavit” Crisologo Singson, a Senatorial candidate in the May 12, 2025 national elections, on Thursday (Nov. 14) announced that he will launch the VBank “Bangko ng Masa ” for all poor but deserving Filipinos nationwide.
In a press conference in Bahay Kawayan, Singson said that the VBank needs no requirements but only needs to download the VBank app and fill up the digital form and submit it online.
He added that qualified to apply for VBank are single parents, senior citizens, persons with disability (PWDs), who are all the vulnerable sectors of the society.
Singson stressed that wealthy Filipinos are disqualified to apply for VBank.
According to Singson, the local government units (LGUs) will help in the realization of the VBank or “Bangko ng Masa”,
Singson has been the President of the Governors League of the Philippines, Mayors League of the Philippines, and Councilors League of the Philippines, which are all under the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP).
As President of the Governors League, Singson left behind the amount of PHP100 million in cash and as President of the Councilors League, he also left behind the amount of PHP40 million.
He said that he was able to leave such huge amount of money to the League because of his Anti-Corruption advocacy.
The Senatorial candidate recalled what his father taught him that is to keep the trust and confidence of the people.
