A time-honored tradition, SM Supermalls officially welcome the most wonderful time of
the year as malls in Marilao, Baliwag, Pulilan, and San Jose Del Monte as well as
Grand Central in Caloocan light up their iconic Christmas Centerpieces.
“Because we missed our shoppers these past 2 years, SM promises to bring back a
truly magical experience” shares Senior Assistant Vice President for Operations Junias
M. Eusebio.
Sprawled at 3,229 square feet mall atrium, SM City Marilao sparkles with the Winter
Holiday Camp. Inspired by “The Christmas Song” or commonly subtitled as “Chestnuts
Roasting on an Open Fire”, the 18-meter Winter Holiday Camp is a picturesque holiday
attraction for the whole family. The Christmas centerpiece is embellished with gigantic
caribou, squirrels, and fire pit as well as a camper van and tent. The nature-inspired
details and decorations are full of warmth; creating a cozy atmosphere of idyllic
mountainside winter camp.
SM City Baliwag brings back the yuletide spirit with the Sparkling Holiday
Dreamland centerpiece. Transporting mall patrons’ imaginations to a royal dreamland
straight out of a fairytale book, the attraction is surrounded by white and gold
carriages, arch towers, gold benches, 3D stars, and moon on clouds symbolizing the
lyrics of this year’s theme—the timeless Christmas carol “We Three Kings.”
Inspired by the popular children’s Christmas song Jingle Bells, SM Center
Pulilan debuts a Country Christmas centerpiece recreating a ‘holiday on a farm’
experience. Shoppers will feel giddy as this Christmas attraction is surrounded by horse
displays, fancy grass, wood patterns, fun-filled swings, and lighted lamp posts. It also
highlights a 12-by-8-feet barn house perfect for creating snap shots with family and
friends.
Colors of the season are very much alive as SM City San Jose Del Monte deck the halls
with myriad of glowing neon lights. A Christmas doll house concept filled with fun,
excitement, and amusement, the Holiday Glow Play Park sparks magical connection to
every shopper young and old.
Recreating the classic Christmas song ‘Santa Claus is coming to town’, SM City Grand
Central’s Santa’s Fun Surprises features that time of the year when “stockings are hung
on the mantle with care” as families wait for Santa Claus to slide down the chimney and
deliver gifts to children. The larger than life chimney with the jolly upside-down Santa
Claus will bring yuletide joy as it welcomes shoppers entering the mall.
“Christmas is for children, it is said, and this year, we are happy to finally celebrate the
most wonderful season with kids here at SM,” shares Assistant Vice President for
Operations Ana Datu.
Sharing the message of hope, joy, and love, all SM centerpieces are adorned by
gigantic Christmas trees. Decorated by hundreds of dazzling Christmas balls and
ornaments and nearly thousands of LED lights and yards of garland, the repurposed
Christmas trees will not only serve as a seasonal centerpiece in the malls but also an
opportunity for shoppers to create lasting moments with family and friends through
picturesque, unique Christmas attraction.
Shoppers at SM malls in Bulacan and Caloocan may also discover Christmas around
every corner as they come across collection of holiday trees and wreaths spread
throughout the mall. There would also be surprises, Christmas markets, musical
medleys, and family filled Christmas activities that will add extra touch of wonder to
holiday shopping.
SM’s holiday centerpieces have been a part of the longstanding tradition that ushers in
Christmas time in the province and in the cities where SM has malls. SM Supermalls’
Holiday Centerpieces will be on display until January 6, 2023. – PR
