QUEZON CITY — The Fisher Mall ushered in the Yuletide Season with the ceremonial lighting of Christmas tree and gift-giving on Thursday (Nov. 28) here at the UGF, Event Center.
Cecilia Cabautan, Fisher Mall HR Manager, led the invocation for the vision to exemplify and the mission to give.
The Quezon City Symphonic Band performed the Opening Salvo of classical sounds, music and Christmas carols mesmerizing joy and capturing the heart and soul of people of all walks of life present in the mall.
Robert Raymond Del Rosario, Fisher Mall Group of Companies President, a visionary, thanked his family and the Fisher Mall Group of Companies, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Liza Macuja of Ballet Manila.
He wanted to reflect on the spirit of giving and celebrating Christmas each day.
He announced that part of the sales from Oct. 1 to December this year will be donated to Bahay Aruga.
Also present were Quezon City (1st District) Rep. Juan Carlos “Arjo” Atayde and City Council Majority Floor Leader Dorothy “Doray” Delarmente and Action Officer Ollie Belmonte.
Rep. Atayde said that he was very much happy to see events like this, with the annual joy, happiness Fisher Mall brings to the children.
Atayde read the message of Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte.
“The iconic light up marked another Christmas Season and we are called to spark hope to others who have less in life,” Belmonte said.
“Let us inspire others. Mabuhay po tayong lahat!,” she added.
Roberto N. Del Rosario, Fisher Mall Group of Companies Chairman, acknowledged the guests and the Fisher family and expressed his profound gratitude.
“Merry Christmas!” he said.
The UP Manila Chorale rendered classical Christmas carols to the delight of the guests, Fisher Mall executives and the children from Bahay Aruga Inc.
The beneficiary, Bahay Aruga composed of about 100 cancer-stricken children were presented with Christmas gifts by the guests and Fisher Mall executives.
The Bahay Aruga expressed its profound gratitude to the Del Rosario family and the Fisher Mall Group of Companies for bringing them the spirit of joy, happiness and love during the Christmas Season.
The cancer-stricken children from Bahay Aruga performed the famous Christmas song “Muling Magiliiwanag ang Pasko*.
The Bahay Aruga is an organization that provides care to cancer-stricken children at the Philippine General Hospital.
The Ballet Manila led by world-renowned and national treasure Liza Macuja rendered classical Christmas performances.
The 25-foot Christmas tree, with the Christmas belen of the “Nativity of Jesus” on right side, was lighted by the guests and Fisher Mall executives with the rendition of classical Christmas songs by the UP Manila Chorale.
