BALANGA CITY, Bataan — The 13 Negosyo Centers (NCs) in Bataan assisted about 9,902 clients from January to August this year.
They likewise accomplished during the period a total of 5,116 business name registrations.
“With these numbers we can say that our province is recovering and vibrancy can now be seen in our local economy,” Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bataan Senior Trade Industry Development Specialist and Information Officer Teresita Magtanong said.
Bataan NCs also assisted micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through business consultancies, seminars and trainings, packaging and labeling, trade fairs, and market matching.
Meanwhile, DTI conducted three “Likha ng Bataeño” trade fairs last February, March, and July which generated a total of P1,430,275.00 in sales.
DTI likewise re-launched the Diskwento Caravan after a two-year break due to pandemic which was participated by a total of 53 local distributors, manufacturers, retailers and MSMEs.
It generated approximately P1,014,285.75 in sales, benefitting about 25 barangays and 3,381 consumers. — Camille Anne S. Bartolome/PIA 3
