PASIG CITY — Mayoral candidate Sarah Discaya was surprised on the all support extended to her by the women urban poor
in the city on Thursday night (May 1).
Discaya thanked the thousands of women who marched all the way from Barangay Rosario, Barangay Manggahan and Barangay Bambang to the SGC Office.
She asked them to extend their unwavering support to her and the Team Kaya This until the May 12 elections.
Coinciding with the 123rd Labor Day celebration, women urban poor Pasiguenos on Thursday night (May 1) held a street parade expressing their support to mayoralty candidate Sarah Discaya.
They brought along with them placards, streamers, and banners bearing the name of Sarah Discaya.
They also expressed their dismay over six years of neglect and unfulfilled promises of the current city government.
They marched from Barangay Rosario and Barangay Manggahan to the SGC Office in Barangay Bambang.
“Magsuri, lumahok. Magpasya.
Tara na.. Ang Anim na Taon puro pangako, paasa at paawa,” were inscribed in their streamers, banners and placards.
They also brought along with them streamers, placards and banners bearing the names and pictures of Sarah Discaya as well as the candidates of Team Kaya This.
They all shouted and yelled “Kaya This”.
When asked if they were paid to hold the march parade, they all answered in the negative. ###
