QUEZON CITY — Silang, Cavite Mayor Kevin Anarna has denied allegations levelled against him.
In a press conference at Ponce Restaurant in Sacred Heart, Quezon City on Friday (May 17). Mayor Anarna addressed the recent preventive suspension order and allegations by his former running mate-turned-detractor Vice Mayor Edward Arranza.
Anarna stressed that the preventive suspension order imposed on him llacked due process.
“The preventive suspension order was imposed without due process and opportunity to answer the charges against him,” Anarna said.
“These charges were the subject of an audit observation memorandum (AOM) issued on January 4, 2024, to which he replied on February 6, 2024,” he added.
“No reason was given by the Commission on Audit (COA),” Anarna said.
