QUEZON CITY — Leading market research firm Tangere Acquisition Apps, Inc. (Tangere) on Friday (April 11) disclosed the top 12 senatorial candidates in the May 12 national elections.
In a press conference at Romulo Cafe, Tangere President and Chief Executive Officer Martin Xavier Penaflor cited the results of the 2025 pre-election senatorial preferential survey for the period April 7-9, 2025.
Tangere is one of the survey firms that registered with the Comelec, which is available in Apple Store and Play Store.
The voters were 18 years old and above with 2,400 respondents nationwide with stratefied randon samplings or quota with 1.96% margin of error..
Penaflor said that while the press conference is ongoing, there are ongoing regional surveys being conducted by Tangere.
The NCR with 12%, NCL with 23%, SL with 22%, Visayas with 20% and Mindanao with 23%.
50% were male and 50% were female.
Ben Tulfo with 55.71%, Bong Go with 55.17%, Erwin Tulfo with 54.42%, Bong Revilla with 47.13%, Vicente Sotto with 45.21%, Pia Cayetano with 38.17%, Benhur Abalos with 38.08%, Lito Lapid with 37.92%, Sen. Bato Dela Rosa with 37.42, Ping Lacson with 37.29%, Manny Pacquiao with 34.25%, and Sen. Francis Tolentino with 32.96%.
Visayas and Mindanao are the main drivers for media executive Ben Tulfo.
Erwin Tulfo is higher in Northern Luzon compared with Ben “Bitag” Tulfo where Bitag is higher with 36 years old and above.
Bong Revilla is leading in Calabarzon, Northern Luzon and NCR. His main drivers are Metro Manila and Southern Luzon.
Benhur Abalos is consistent in Metro Manila, Central Luzon and Northern Luzon.
Lacson is also statistically tied in the 6-10 slot.
Tolentino is highly preferred in Calabarzon.
In the 11-18 place, tied were Makati City Mayor Abby Binay with 32.88%, Las Pinas City Rep. Camille Villar with 32.5%, Bam Aquino IV with 32.33%, former Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan with 31.33%, Willie Revillame with 31.13%, Sen. Imee Marcos with 29.75%, Sagip Partylist Rep. Rodante Marcoleta with 23.13%, and actor Philip Salvador with 22.38%.
Former Sen. Manny Pacquiao and comedian Willie Revillame are in the top 12.
In the 19-20 place, Rep. Marcoleta with an increase of 4%, Philip Salvador was also in 19-20.
In the NCR, Brothers Tulfo are tied with 57%, Sen. Bong Go with 53%, and former Sen. Tito Sotto with 53%.
In Northern Luzon and Central Luzon, ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Erwin Tulfo with 59%, media executive Ben Tulfo with 57%, and Sotto with 51%.
In Calabarzon, Sen. Bong Revilla with 57%, Erwin Tulfo with 55%, and Ben Tulfo with 54%.
In Visayas, Ben Tulfo with 60%, Erwin Tulfo with 59%, and Bong Go with 51%.
In Mindanao, 7 out of 10 preferred Sen. Bong Go with 71%, Sen. Bato Dela Rosa with 55%, Ben Tulfo with 51%, Erwin Tulfo with 44%, Rep. Rodante Marcoleta with 43%, Sen. Bong Revilla with 40%, Willie Revillame with 38%, Tito Sotto with 35%, and Benhur Abalos 32%.
Education, labor and employment are the important issues to be addressed.
Traits of the candidates hindi corrupt, and takot sa Diyos.
Facebook, television and YouTube are the main sources of information.
There is an existing one million strong Tangere community.
News really has effect on the results of the survey such that Revillame had decreased by 4%.
Camille Villar was also affected by the current news.
Because of the alleged adoption of Kiko Pangilinan and Bam Aquino, the voter preference for members of the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas decreased.
The placement in the ballot of Bong Revilla and Benhur Abalos also affects the voter preference.
In all survey firms, Sen. Imee Marcos was not in the top 12 senatorial candidates.
There were also those who voted for Doc Willie Ong and Wilbert Lee due to lack of knowledge that they have already withdrawn from the senatorial race.
“Slippery slope” or exit polls is against Comelec rules.
In 2022 elections, 80% was the voter turnout and 65% was the voter turnout in the last midterm elections, which is low.
As a survey firm, Tangere is already happy to get the 10 out of the 12 senatorial candidates.
