QUEZON CITY — Brothers Erwin and Ben Tulfo are still the two topnotchers in the 24 senatorial candidates five months before the May 12, 2025 national elections.
Martin Penaflor, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tangere, on Monday (Dec. 16) revealed the December version for the upcoming May 2025 elections with the survey period of from Dec. 10-13, 2024.
Penaflor noted that Tangere is a member of the Mores, hence, they are required to disclose the survey metholody with more than one million subscribers.
12% of the respondents came from Metro Manila, the remaining 43% came from Visayas and Mindanao.
Of the 2,400 respondents, 90% of Filipinos are earning not less than P25,000.
The latest survey before the December 2024 survey was conducted in October 2024.
Only 10% of the respondents or voters only selected 12 candidates out of the 24 candidates.
Leading in the overall ranking was Erwin Tulfo with 63.13% in Dec. 2024 from 64.33% in October 2024.
Ben Tulfo with 51% in December from 52.25% in Oct. 2024.
Vicente “Tito” Sotto III with 50.5% in December from 49.71% in Oct. 2024.
Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go with 49.5% in December from 50.13% in October 2024.
Pia Cayetano with 42.71% in December 2024 from 40.46% in October 2024.
Sen. Bam Aquino and Kiko Pangilinan are in the top 12 and tied at no. 10.
SAGIP Party-List Rep. Rodante Marcoleta at No. 19.
Former Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis “Chavit” Crisologo Singson is leveraging in Northern Luzon, Central Luzon and Central Mindanao.
Singson is statistically tied with former Senator Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan at 25.15 %.
For Mindanao, Sen. Imee Marcos is statistically lower in Northern Mindanao.
Less than 8% of our registered voters wherein Acis PartyList is lower.
Bong Go is now falling low in Calabarzon (Cavite! Laguna/Batangas/Rizal/Quezon) but high in Central and Northern Mindanao.
Singson has high posts both in organic and social posts.
Gringo seems not to be known to new voters or the so-called Gen Z. .
Less than 10% were for Atty. Jimmy Bondoc and former Cong. Teodoro “Teddy” Casino.
In terms of awareness, Mark Gamboa is not familiar with voters.
24 of the senatorial candidates have the chance of making it to the Top 12.
Education, increase in salary, increase in employment and fear of God are the top issues and concerns affecting the traits of the candidates..
The source off information were television, Facebook and radio where the mainstream media such as TV and radio are increasing while the Facebook or social media are decreasing.
Awareness about AGRI Party-List Rep. Wilbert Lee was increasing only as far as Agri PartyList is concerned.
Mainstream media increased and Facebook decreased, which are the top source of information for candidates because they trust more the mainstream media such as TV, radio and newspapers.
The Tulfo brothers were high for three consecutive months because they are not corrupt and they are the type of a President who will fight for a person’s rights.
Majority of the Top 12 are from the administration and they are driven by Central Luzon and Northern Luzon, which directly are affecting their high votes.
Since the Vice President has not yet endorsed any senatorial candidate, she is not an influencer in terms of votes just yet.
National Security is no. 10 in the list of important issues to be addressed by senatorial candidates.
