SMX Convention Center, Pasay City — Dennis Uy, Chairman of the 30,000-strong PCCI, said “today is the largest gathering for digital transformation.”
Uy added “many business partners and other stakeholders will share in the journey of digital transformation.”
As Chairman of the 51st Philippine Business Conference & Tech Expo, Antonino declared the conference open.
PCCI President Consul Leonina Maquio acknowledged the guests, delegates and VP Sara Z. Duterte.
Maquio said” the discussions which will be held in two days are imperative for national digital transformation.”
“AI represents a quantum leap in humanity,” she said.
She cited the block chain as an example of digital transformation.
“The question is whether the Philippines will stand in the forefront of this change,” she added.
“We seek transformation that brings about change and not restriction,” Maquio said.
Among others, the winners in the Environmental Innovation Award Small Enterprise Category, Environmental Stewardship Award Large Enterprise Category bestowed on Mitsubishi Motors, Monde Nissin won the Excellence in Ecology and Economy Award, and the grand winner in the Alberto S. Yao Award.
In her speech, VP Duterte said “I am happy to grace another year of the PBCE.”
“I congratulate the PCCI for successfully hosting the 51st PBCE & Tech Expo,” she added.
“Digital transformation and AI have drastically changed our lives,” Duterte said.
She cited that the theme “Unleashing the Potential of Digital Transformation” is significant.
“Digital transformation is paving the way for the future,” Duterte said.
“Our goal is to maximize our human and digital potentials for development and nation building,” she added.
“The welfare of the people is our highest priority,” Duterte said.
“If technology is a blessing, then let’s use it to protect the rights and well-being of the people,” she added.
“Nakakatakot na po na maging huli dito sa rehiyon at sa mundo,” Duterte said.
“Because the people deserve better,” she added.
“Ang ating mga ginagawa ay para sa Diyos at sa Bayan,” she added. ###
